I’m reading from MyPolice Bayside, and I read about a drug and firearms arrest. Wynnum Police intercepted a vehicle bearing a stolen plate number after driving erratically within the area of Wynnum. The police officers seize the car, and they were able to recover drugs, ammunition, firearms, and cash. Seeing these stuff lead to the arrest of the driver who is now facing charges. His charges include contravening an order under the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act, 3 counts of possession of dangerous drugs, 2 counts of possession of a firearm, 2 counts of possession of drug utensils, driving an unlicensed vehicle, and many others. The driver is 31 years of age and in custody, due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court. I hope that he will regret what he did and make a change.
